Item Description
3.5x5.5" showing team in uniforms posed on a ball field. Dihigo is standing at center of back row. Other players shown, all members of the Cuban Baseball HOF, include Sal Maglie (who would go on to become a Major League pitcher), Silvio Garcia, Napoleon Reyes, Luis Tiant Sr., Alejandro Crespo, and manager Adolfo Luque. The Elephants won the Cuban League championship this year. "EKC" postcard back has a few inked numbers at center but is otherwise unused. Moderate aging to reverse. Front has faint tan stain at bottom left corner. Scattered corner creases. Small slivers of insect damage to top/bottom extreme margins and tiny insect hole on top margin. Nothing affects image which is bold and sharp. VG. An exceptional postcard featuring multi HOF member Dihigo.
