Item Description
Pair of high quality lithographed posters for shows that featured several music/concert poster artists who contributed to the designs of their respective posters, each poster having been signed at bottom by Mark Arminski, Carl Lundgren and Gary Grimshaw (1946-2014). 15.25x21-7/8" poster for Nov. 5, 2004 art show that took place at Lobby Gallery of CCS-Center Galleries in Detroit, MI. From an extremely limited edition of signed and number posters, this has been hand-numbered "31/33." Exc. 13x19" poster for April 4 to May 13, 2005 art show that took place at Woods Gallery (lower level of the Huntingdon Woods Library) in Huntingdon Woods, MI. Poster touts art show as featuring "Posters 1966-2004." From an extremely limited edition of signed and number posters, this has been hand-numbered "33/50." Exc. Arminski's contribution to both of these posters is the winged eyeball at top center, meant as a nod to the classic designs of 1960s concert posters and designed to draw attention. Lundgren scanned each artist's contribution into a computer, combining them to create posters. Lot comes w/4-5/8x6.5" sheet of artpaper w/Arminski's original art for these posters, done in pen and ink w/handwritten "Detroit music Poster Show - CCS Gallery - Detroit - 2004" notation beside his signature. Art comes in mat and is Exc. Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
