Item Description
11-1/8x16-7/8" thin Marvel Comics artboard features artist Ernie Colón's pen and ink original art for the cover of the Feb. 1991 issue of "Mighty Mouse" #5, published by Marvel Comics. Colón is known for his wide-ranging career, beginning at Harvey Comics (working on "Richie Rich" and "Casper The Friendly Ghost") and including working in the fields of children's comics, horror and nonfiction. Cover features an homage to DC Comics' "Crisis On Infinite Earths" #12, showing Mighty Mouse and the other "Mices On Infinite Earths" including Samor the Sub-Plotter, Strongman, Bat-Bat, The Cow and others fighting large Anti-Minotaur villain. Page has been inked by Marie Severin. Margins have production notations w/handwritten inked title and issue number at bottom margin. Colón has signed bottom center in black felt tip pen. Marvel publishing indicia paste-over at upper left w/story title paste-overs along top and bottom right. Two 1" or so streaks of faint glue staining, but rest of art remains clean and VF/Exc. overall.
