Item Description
10-3/8x15.75" thin artboard features artist Herb Trimpe's (1939-2015) pen and ink original art for page 26 of the Jan. 1980 issue of "Defenders" #79, published by Marvel Comics. Trimpe is best-known as the seminal 1970s artist on "The Incredible Hulk" and as the first artist to draw Wolverine for publication. Page features seven panels showing Dian (one of Mandrill's followers" feigning sleep only to sneak out and steal Defenders' Quinjet. This does not go unseen though, as The Peeper's eyes dominate last panel. Page has been inked by Mike Esposito. Top margin has production notations w/stamped title and inked issue/page number. Bottom center has page number past-over. Top margin has been trimmed, though not affecting art in any way. VF overall w/Exc. art.
