Item Description
Pair of 17.5x24" artboards, each w/two applied cut-out Craftint panels featuring pen and ink original art for three cartoon panels apiece. Art is by George Woodbridge (1930-2004), an American illustrator known for his 44-year run as a contributor to "MAD" Magazine. This art appeared in the 1963 Annual which featured samples from some of MAD's previous issues and special editions. Art on first page features Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, Las Vegas lounge singer, woman seducing IRS agent, female fans ripping clothing off Frankie Avalon, Hollywood actress returning from abroad and complaining about foreigners, Steve Allen building ship in a bottle. Second page features Lauren Bacall yelling at drunk houseguest, pizza shop, Dr. Joyce Brothers having fight w/her husband, Jack Parr in full body cast, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and woman crying while eating shrimp cocktail. Center of both artboards have printed text paste-over describing scenes in typical humorous "MAD" style. Craftint panels have some aging but art remains Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the Annual this art was published in.
