Item Description
19x27" artboard w/numbered acetate overlay and additional worn vellum overlay over pen and ink original art w/inkwash by George Woodbridge (1930-2004), an American illustrator known for his 44-year run as a contributor to "MAD" Magazine. Art was for two-page splash page published in the Jan. 1983 issue of "MAD" magazine. Art depicts busy record store and was part of an ongoing series,  "How Many Mistakes Can You Find In This Picture?" Among the artists featured are - Kiss, Donna Summer, ABBA, Kansas, Village People, Vivaldi, Van Halen, Billy Joel. Other names appearing on album covers include Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Olivia Newton John, Debbie Boone and others. Of note, one album labeled "Bill" depicts EC Comics publisher and editor William Gaines. Front center features a pair of punks, causing some unease amongst other customers. Artboard has some handling wear w/creasing at lower right and 2.25" strip of tape staining at upper right. Fine/VF overall w/majority of art remaining clean and VF/Exc.
