27x41.25" poster for Cole Bros. Circus tightrope act The Great Grimes, "The Undisputed Champions Of The High Wire, Who Have Made Two Continents Gasp." 1941. Poster shows two men riding bicycles on high wire, w/pole across their shoulders that supports a third man balanced on a chair who supports a woman on his shoulders. Circus crowd and small clown watch from below. Poster has been rolled and has 1" tear at top center w/some lt. scattered edge wear. Poster would display Exc. if matted and framed. Comes w/14x50.5" (including attached date sheet at bottom) poster for 1950s Clyde Beatty and Cole Bros. Circus performance. Poster features lions and white tiger. Date sheet is for April 30 to May 1 performance in Wilmington, NC. Poster was folded (and is now rolled) and has some scattered handling wear. Fine overall.
