Item Description
16-5/8x20-5/8" artboard attached to large board w/worn onionskin overlay protecting pen and ink (and marker) original art for New Year's Eve 1996 concert at The Wetlands in New York City that featured Gov't Mule and Cherokee Sex Workshop. Poster design by artist Tim Vega (who also designed posters for Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors) harkens back to the psychedelic concert posters of the 1960s w/stylized text-like border w/bold band and venue names. Vega died in 2002 at the young age of 36 due to the alcoholism he developed to cope w/his survivor's guilt (Vega worked in the World Trade Center, but was not present during the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attack). Art is clean and Exc. Overlay has attached sheet w/note to printer asking for rush job on poster. Unique.
