Item Description
1.75x2.5" card w/glossy photo front. This is from an obscure tobacco card series issued in El Salvador.

The St. Louis Cardinals went 95-59 during the 1928 season and finished first in the NL. In the World Series, they were swept by the New York Yankees. MLB Hall Of Famers that played on this team were Pete Alexander, Jim Bottomley, Frankie Frisch, Chick Hafey, Jesse Haines, Rabbit Maranville, and Bill McKechnie as a manager. This example is one of only two of these cards ever graded by SGC and represents a very rare find. This card is graded 45 VG+ 3.5 and is designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
