Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains original foam packing and 4.5" tall (to top of removable plastic hat) die-cast metal and plastic robot from the "Ganbare!! Robocon" comedy tokusatsu (any live-action film or TV drama that features considerable use of special effects) series produced by Toei that aired in Japan from Oct. 4, 1974 to March 25, 1977. Made in Japan for the Japanese market by Popy, 1970s. Box shows moderate wear along bottom and is Fine overall. Robot has button on back that when pressed, causes mouth to open and tongue to pop out as squeak is produced. Chrome luster plastic robot brain under hat. Toy comes w/alternate hat and accessories still sealed in original plastic bag. As noted by coins depicted on box, toy also comes w/foreign coin and illustrated booklet showing various coins that were randomly included within boxes. Toy also comes w/two full color illustrated catalogs (one featuring "Ganbare!! Robocon" characters) and hearts sticker sheet (three loose, two missing). Figure is NM.
