Item Description
16x20" display features six photos from STS-43, the ninth mission for Space Shuttle Atlantis, launched Aug. 2, 1991. The mission's primary goal was launching the fourth Tracking and Data Relay Satellite, TDRS-E. The flight also tested an advanced heatpipe radiator for potential use on the then-future space station and conducted a variety of medical and materials science investigations. Photos show launch, images of the Shuttle and crew photo. Display also includes 3.75x4-5/8" embroidered mission patch that was carried on the flight. Display has been signed in silver paint pen by five crew members - John H. Blaha, Shannon W. Lucid, James Adamson, Michael A. Baker and G. David Low. Display has some lt. corner tip wear but is o/w Exc. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA COA.
