Item Description
Billie Holiday (1915-1959), is a name that will forever be associated w/Jazz, w/her career as a singer-songwriter spanning nearly 30 years. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and music partner Lester Young, Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz music and pop singing. Offered here is a vintage 8-1/8x10" glossy Associated Booking Corp. publicity photo of Holiday that has been signed at lower right in blue ink "To Mick - Best Of Everything - Billie Holiday." Photo has some minor corner tip wear and a few small surface impressions which are only noticeable in reflected light. Still VF/Exc. overall. Given Holiday's untimely passing at the age of 44, vintage signed photos like this are hard to come by. Stunning photo w/a superb signature. As good as it gets for a signed Billie Holiday photo.
