Item Description
Lot of four 8.5x11" pieces, consisting of front cover w/hand-lettered "Sports Stars With Decorator Frame" title, "Creative Dummy Specifications" unused stat and typed letter on General Mills, Inc. letterhead dated June 25, 1970 addressed to Gordon Gold concerning General Mills decision to decline trading card premium idea submitted by Gold to General Mills. Last piece is 6-5/8x9.5" sheet of paper attached to black paper w/binder holes at left. Attached sheet has mixed media prototype original art for "Famous Sport Stars," including partially colored stat paste-over of Russ Gibson baseball card (Gibson played six MLB seasons, including 1967-1969 w/the Boston Red Sox). Cover shows scattered moderate wear and is Fine. Back of stat and rejection letter has paperclip stain. Art is Exc. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
