Item Description
8x10.75" concept comic book w/thin paper attached to stiff paper front cover that has fully realized mixed media prototype original art Sheriff Reddy Power anthropomorphic battery dressed as cowboy and riding horse lassoing three anthropomorphic flashlights. Hand-lettered text touts "Thrilling Power Packed Comics" and lists "Stories - Comics - Games - Mystery Western Fun - Cut-Outs" as features. 1950s. First and second pages have pen and ink/watercolor original art for "Reddy Power - The Sheriff Of Mesa County" comic featuring battery character seen on front cover. Reddy reads newspaper and learns the Flash Gang (also seen on front cover) have escaped, which Deputy Pete confirms when he enters. They head out to Snake River hideout to wait for there gang. Last panel is map. Following pages are blank w/exception of handwritten text like "Continued - Reddy Power Cartoon" and a few pages having clipped newsprint generic games/puzzles that have been pasted on pages (some having dried and loosened over the years). Back cover has "RCA Ad - Dealer Imprint" handwritten text and is o/w blank. Some lt. aging/handling wear but VF/Exc. overall. See following item 2173.
