Item Description
11.5x15" stiff textured paper folder contains six prints, each 10.25x13.75" and on textured paper and two 12-1/8x21-3/8" single-sided sheets featuring reprints of "Rip Kirby" strips for the weeks of June 9-14 and June 16-21, 1947. Prints and reprint sheet feature art by Alex Raymond, who created "Rip Kirby" in 1946, continuing the strip until his death in a car crash in 1956 (the strip itself would continue until 1999). Folder shows wear w/tape/archival tape repair to inner spine. Fine overall. One of prints include Pagan Lee portrait. Prints have lt. aging and are suitable for framing. VF/Exc. Reprint sheets have horizontal fold at center as issued. Exc. Kits saw limited distribution as they were given to newspaper comic editors to entice them to run the "Rip Kirby" strip in their paper. First we've offered in our 50 years. High quality promotional kit and a must for Alex Raymond collectors.
