Item Description
11.5x15" cardboard folder contains a dozen 11.25x14.75" textured paper sample prints and comic strips introducing the new "Cisco Kid" comic strip. ©1951 KFS. Prints include nine individual picture prints and three prints picturing example comic strips in continuous story style and all features comic strip artist Jose Luis Salinas's art. Front cover of portfolio die-cut sombrero opening to expose Cisco Kid portrait on first inner print. Back cover pictures example comic strips related to the story on included prints, although entirely different. Portfolio has several pinch creases to spine and .5" tear at top of front. Fine overall. Prints are bright and clean, all suitable for framing. Contents are Exc. Limited distribution as given to newspaper comic editors to entice them to run the comic strip in their paper. Rare.
