Item Description
Superb 12.75" tall solid resin scratch-built figure (on 4.75x7" base for overall height of 12") by modeler extraordinaire Terry Reynolds of California. His work is featured on pages 25-26 of "Superhero Collectibles: A Pictorial Price Guide" by Bill Bruegman. Flash Gordon is depicted as played by Buster Crabbe in the 1940 Universal movie serial "Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe." Part of a series of custom figures (see Captain America #1910, Captain Marvel #1805 and The Phantom #1804) created by Reynolds in the 1990s. Wonderfully painted and detailed, this figure comes from an era before the collectibles figures and statues of today were commonplace. Tiny spots of paint off legs and backside, o/w Exc. Stunning custom piece featuring classic image of Flash Gordon w/large ray gun that was used on promotional items.
