Item Description
Pair of hand-painted animation cels used in production of the popular "Superman: The Animated Series" cartoon produced 1996-2000. 9x10.5" acetate sheets have been attached to 11x14-1/8" printed matched bkg. First sheet features 7x8.5" image area of Superman (from shins up) tossing iron girder over his head. This is from "A Little Piece Of Home" episode, which first aired Sept. 14, 1996. Second sheet features majority of cel dominated by image of Bizarro, who hefts immense rock as Superman holds Lois Lane in bkg. Both have "WB Animation Art" gold seal and 1997 copyright date at corners. Cels have been attached to bkg. sheets w/strips of white tape and would look NM if framed. Both cels come w/individually-numbered WB Animation Art COAs. Franco Toscanini Collection.
