Item Description
Offered in this auction as items #1412-1433 are the cover and all story pages to "Captain America" #265 (Jan. 1982).  11x17" artboard featuring Zeck's pen and ink original (w/screentone accents) art for Page 8, featuring five panels showing pair of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents grabbing Spider-Man. They mention they saw Spider-Man following Steve Rogers (Captain America's alter-ego) and demand to know why he disappeared. Second panel shows frustrated Spider-Man, who exclaims "That's It! I'm Not Playing The Patsy For Anyone - - Not Even You Refugee Stormtroopers From 'Star Wars'!" Spider-Man tosses the agents, who promptly phase through brick walls, much to Spider-Man's confusion. Spider-Man appears in every panel. Art has been inked by John Beatty. Top margin has production notations w/stamped title and inked issue/page number. Text has all been hand-lettered by Jim Novak. Top left and both bottom corners have been clipped, not affecting art or text. Art remains clean and Exc.
