Item Description
Offered in this auction as items #1412-1433 are the cover and all story pages to "Captain America" #265 (Jan. 1982).  11x17" artboard featuring Zeck's pen and ink (w/screentone accents) original art for Page 9, featuring five panels showing Captain America's alter ego Steve Rogers materializing (amidst glowing Kirby Dots) in a "Super-Scientific Laboratory Complex," only to be promptly shot in the arm in second panel. Steve turns around and is shocked to see a group of Biotron constructs, shouting "Robots!" The constructs inform Steve that their creator wants Steve to go w/them, which causes Steve to open his artist's portfolio and take out Captain America's shield, deflecting ray blasts as he leaps away. Steve Rogers appears in every panel. Art has been inked by John Beatty. Top margin has production notations w/stamped title and inked issue/page number. Text has all been hand-lettered by Jim Novak. Top/bottom right corners have been clipped, not affecting art or text. Art remains clean and Exc.
