Item Description
Offered in this auction as items #1412-1433 are the cover and all story pages to "Captain America" #265 (Jan. 1982).  11x17" Marvel Comics artboard featuring Zeck's pen and ink (w/screentone accents) original art for Page 15, featuring five panels showing Spider-Man continuing to battle S.H.I.E.L.D. agents until his Spider Sense goes off in second to last panel as unseen person says "Save Your Energy Spidey - - You're Gonna Need It!" Last panels reveals that person as Nick Fury, whom Spider-Man questions why S.H.I.E.L.D. is concerned w/an artist (Captain America's alter-ego Steve Rogers), to which Fury tells Spider-Man that "That Artist" is in fact Captain America and that S.H.I.E.L.D. needs Spider-Man's help to save him. Spider-Man appears in every panel. Art has been inked by John Beatty. Top margin has production notations (including "Balloons & SFX On Whole Page) w/incorrect "Amazing Spider-Man" stamped title (which has been crossed out) and inked issue/page number. As noted at top, all text and sound effects are paste-overs, which have aged. Fourth panel is missing small word balloon, w/some glue staining visible. Top right corner has been clipped, not affecting art or text. Art remains clean and VF/Exc.
