Offered in this auction as items #1412-1433 are the cover and all story pages to "Captain America" #265 (Jan. 1982).  11x17" artboard featuring Zeck's pen and ink (w/screentone accents) original art for Page 16, featuring two panels at top showing Nick Fury telling Spider-Man that Captain America was abducted by "A Genius Weapons Designer-Computer Expert Called Sultan - - Systematic Ultimate Lawless Takeover Of All Nations!" Bottom half of artboard is half-page splash page w/Sultan (who made his first appearance in this issue) confronting Captain America, w/detailed machinery bkg. Sultan goes into trademark villain monologue, stating "Before You Die, you Shall Witness The Destruction Of The Country I Loathe, Before I Kill You Myself, You Shall Witness The Start Of A New Reign On Earth - - - - The Unending Rule Of Sultan!" Nick Fury appears in first panel. Spider-Man appears in first two panels. Captain America appears in last panel Art has been inked by John Beatty. Top margin has production notations w/stamped title (crossed out) and inked issue/page number. Text balloons are all paste-overs, which have aged (w/some white correctional fluid marks). Splash page has some minor glue staining at upper left corner. Top left corner has been clipped, not affecting art or text. Art remains clean and VF/Exc.
