Item Description
"Spectreman" is a Japanese tokusatsu (any live-action film or TV drama that features considerable use of special effects) series produced by P Productions that aired from Jan. 2, 1971 to March 25, 1972. Spectreman's human form is Joji Gamo. As Spectreman, the character fights an array of giant monsters deployed by the mad scientist Dr. Gori and his henchman Karras. Offered here is 12.25x17-5/8" illustrated cardboard display featuring image of Spectreman using ray emitted from his helmet to attack two-headed monster. Of note, Dr. Gori appears at upper right. Display contains complete amount of 12 bagged pairs of 1.5x2-3/8" flicker cards. Cards feature several different images of Spectreman, as well as one design of his human alter ego Joji, Dr. Gori and Karras also appear alongside a number of different giant monsters. Total of 14 different cards (w/28 different designs). Made in Japan for the Japanese market, early 1970s. Display card has some scattered edge/corner tip wear. Fine/VF overall. One bag has two .75" splits, but rest remain factory-sealed and NM as packaged. Scarce display. See following items #2131-2132.
