Item Description
10-7/8x15" stiff sheet of textured paper has wonderful portrait image of Superman from the chest up, standing in front of waving American flag. This art was originally featured in a 1942 "Superman" Sunday page which retold his origin and depicted the attack on Pearl Harbor. Art was done in lead pencil and colored w/colored pencils. Original art has been signed in pencil at bottom left by Joe Shuster (1914-1992) and was done c. late 1970s. Exc. Great piece of patriotic specialty art. Franco Toscanini Collection.
