Item Description

First is 2-1/8" naming Prostitutes Of New York (P.O.N.Y.) with striking artwork of naked African- American female holding phallic lance on rearing pony with tiny inscription repeating the group name on its lower neck. Between the pony's legs is tiny ©1979 date along with names of the artists but not entirely readable. The first name of the first artist appears to be "Wes" while the second name of the second artist appears to be "Sonntag." Button is one of only two  examples we found in the Marshall Levin Collection. Bottom side edge has light tan stain from 4-8 o'clock but only a very small amount is seen from the front view from about 5:30 to 7 o'clock.  97% remains Mint. Second is 2.25" button with acronym "JACGUAR" standing for "Johns And Call Girls United Against Repression". 1970s. Mint. Both from Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
