Item Description
12x22.25" frame contains matted postcard for July 23-26, 28-30, 1970 concerts at Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA featuring Lee Michaels, Cold Blood, Brethren, Ten Years After, Cactus and Toe Fat. Art by David Singer (who created 66 concert posters for Bill Graham, 1969-1971) features collage of the same woman in three different sizes w/child amidst floodwaters. 8x10.5" matted opening below this contains sheet of lined paper w/Bill Graham's handwritten notes to Singer concerning layout of the design. Graham sometime gave these types of notes to Singer, including band/performer names, dates, order of billing as well as lettering importance. While Graham's notes seem rather basic, it shows the trust he had in his artists to deliver amazing designs. Small spot of staining at upper right. Sheet has three horizontal and one vertical fold lines and scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Nice display as professionally matted and framed. Unique. Comes with Hake's COA.
