Item Description
9x12" program for Nov. 14, 1947 Harvard - Brown football game. Front cover has been boldly signed in blue felt tip pen by Joe Paterno (1926-2012), who played on the 1947 Brown Varsity Football Squad (played 1946-1949) before becoming assistant coach at Penn State in 1950. Paterno was promoted to associate coach, in June 1964 and was promoted to head coach in Feb. 1966. He remained as head coach of  Penn State Nittany Lions the  until 2011, achieving 409 victories, making him the most victorious coach in NCAA FBS history. Paterno is pictured in Brown team photo in program as well as having his class photo shared along w/his teammates. Program has some scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine and is Fine overall. Signature remains bold and displays Exc. Rare signed piece. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
