Item Description
Two sheets of unlined paper, measuring 5.25x8.5" and 8.75x11-7/8". Both feature original art of baseball players by artist Steve Sax (see Bobby Hull art, item #814), whose work has been shown at Cooperstown, many galleries and is featured in the collections of several celebrity sports fans. Smaller sheet has mixed media image of 18-time All Star and MLB HOF member Rod Carew, who has signed art in blue ink. Exc. Larger sheet has rough sketch of 6-time All Star and 5-time strikeout leader Sudden Sam McDowell, who has also signed in blue ink, adding "To Steve - Best Wishes" inscription. Bottom margin has some brown paint spots and back of sheet has fluorescent yellow paint that shows through onto front. Upper left corner also has some surface paper lifting. Fine overall, but art and signature display VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COAs.
