Item Description
5.75x19.5x2.25" box w/wonderfully illustrated lid contains nicely detailed 19.25" long tin litho self-contained track w/original tin litho space car and key. Made in US Zone Germany by Technofix, 1951. Box comes w/original packaging/envelope. Lid has two tiny punctures and box bottom has one. Lid has some corner tip/edge wear. Fine overall. Toy features wonderful design, w/anthropomorphic crescent moon at one end and earth at the other, w/various futuristic spaceships in-between. When wound, space car travels track, being picked up and sent on it way at earth end. Works well. Toy shows just trace wear and is Exc. overall. Another version of this toy featured a spinning satellite above earth and was marketed as "Meteor Express." Old store stock. Scarce as boxed. One of the more impressive Technofix toys produced.
