Item Description
Sizes are .75" to 3". The first two smallest items are from the collection but not in his book Baseball Pinback Buttons. The first item is actually a lapel stud with all the other items in this group being celluloid covered pin-backs. This early 1900s item has a baseball design, shows a rooster above the word "Rooter" with the initials below "R.B.B.C." This piece is c. 1900. Second item names "Baseball In Rock Hill." This is from the late 1940s and the remaining items in the group primarily span 1940s into early 1980s. The next 13 items in rows 1-2-3 are all plate examples appearing in the book under the section title "Baseball Booster Pinbacks" and pictured on pages 86-91. Among these the last three items in the third row have some background age but we still grade them as Fine with the others VF to Mint. The remaining buttons in rows 4-6 are not pictured in the book. Of these in row two buttons three and five have dark edge spots and the fifth button is also quite flattened. The others are all VF to Mint.
