Item Description
A Liberty Bond was a war bond sold in the US to support the allied cause in World War I. Offered here is 14x22-1/8" glossy paper poster w/rising sun image and "To-Day - Buy That Liberty Bond" text. 1917. Poster has handling wear w/three horizontal creases across poster and 5/8" tear at top right margin. Some scattered staining to bottom margin. VG. Comes w/11.25x17.25" silk-screen cloth banner w/eagle perched on Union shield w/"Liberty Bond Owner" text below. These were hung in one's home after purchase. Horizontal fold at center w/some scattered minor aging and pin holes at top corners. Still displays VF. Scarce.
