Item Description
Vintage 4x6" Type 1 photo shows Lloyd Waner (1906-1982), nicknamed "Little Poison" due to his small stature, was a MLB center fielder, who along w/his brother Paul Waner, anchored the Pittsburgh Pirates outfield throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Lloyd Waner was an All-Star in 1938 and was elected into the National Baseball HOF in 1967. Photo shows him posing w/bat and has been signed in blue ink, Waner adding "Regards" inscription. Back has type, handwritten and stamped information including Waner's name and "Geo. Burke" stamped name/address of famous sports photographer whose work included many of the images used to make the 1933-1935 Goudey baseball cards. Photo has some minor corner foxing and is o/w Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and two PSA LOAs (for autograph and photo) and JSA COA.
