Item Description
Approx. 13x20.25" sheet of vellum w/mixed media original art and all hand-lettered text in pencil. Art is for proposed premium that had similar to design of "Bang-Bang Gun" offered in boxes of Quaker "Puffed Rice Sparkies" during the 1950s (and which was once proposed as a Roy Rogers premium). This art shows Terry (of "Terry And The Pirates" comic strip) holding "Picture Of Gun Actual Size" and hand-lettered text that reads "Here Comes Quaker With A Bang-Bang! Get This Terry Bang-Bang Gun With 1 Package Of Delicious Quaker Puffed Rice Sparkies." Lower right has indistinct box image w/unused pricing circle having some text regarding premium gun. Heavy vertical/horizontal creases w/some wear along fold lines. Uneven edges as trimmed. Fine overall. Comes w/6.25x11-5/8" stat showing similar design as seen on art, just more finalized. Stat was for box wrapper for front/sides of cereal box. Exc. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
