Item Description
Lot of four items from 1965. "Fun Book" is 5x7" w/16 pages, a combination of puzzle pages and pictures to be colored w/gameboard center spread. NM file copy w/o mailing imprint on reverse. Pair of 11x14" contest sheets include illustration of the rare premium Goofy Grape wristwatch prize for riddle contest and "Funny Face Game" sheet for winning "Funny Face Drink Stand." Sheets have designated areas in which Funny Face characters were to be cut from drink packs and pasted. Horizontal folds at center as issue. Unused and NM. This lot shows the interesting progression of the dropping of the Chinese Cherry and Injun Orange names, one sheet just calling them "Cherry" and "Orange" while the premium book features their new names "Choo Choo Cherry" and "Jolly Ollie Orange." Injun Orange and Chinese Cherry were changed shortly after their introduction due to complaints from ethnic groups. Comes w/2x3.5" thin plastic "Loud-Mouth Lime" finger puppet (from rare set of six). Some surface impressions but o/w VF/Exc. Rare. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
