Item Description
8-3/8x10-3/8" publication w/48 pages. Published for the 1956 season, in which the team finished w/a record of 97-57, winning their 22nd pennant. Managed by Casey Stengel, they defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers to win the World Series, which featured the only no-hitter in World Series play, a perfect game, delivered by the Yankees' Don Larsen. Mantle (1931-1995) has boldly signed front cover in blue felt tip pen, adding "No. 7" uniform number. Cover has a few pinch creases to spine w/corner tip wear. Pages are filled w/photos and biographies/stats and are evenly aged. Fine overall w/Exc. signature. Great vintage piece to have signed by this Yankees legend and Baseball HOF member. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
