Item Description
13.5x16" hand-cut cardboard score display prototype, featuring fully realized mixed media original art, showing cheering crowd in bleachers, w/large "Yankees" pennant at upper left. Hand-lettered text on billboard design reads "Today's Score - Compliments Of Ballantine Beer" w/Ballantine's three-ring logo above scoring area. Top features three openings, one for viewing name of opposing baseball team's city w/score numbers beside it. Cities and scores are changed via hand-lettered cities cardboard disc dial and printed stat score dial attached on back. Missing top dial for Yankees score. Bottom has "New York Yankees - April 1958 Schedule" printed stat attached. Back has cardboard supports for countertop display. Small penciled "Pabst" name at top, o/w display shows lt. wear/aging and is VF. A very unique item for both baseball and beer collectors. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
