Item Description
14-1/8x19.75" poster for original Belgian release of the 1953 Warner Bros. Sci-Fi film directed by Eugène Lourié and starring Paul Christian, Paula Raymond, Cecil Kellaway and Kenneth Tobey. The film's stop-motion animation special effects were created by Ray Harryhausen. Poster features the "Beast," a fictional dinosaur called the Rhedosaurus, attacking amusement park (differing from American posters) as populace flees in terror. Poster has horizontal fold at center w/faint vertical fold. Top marquee has been trimmed. Marquee area also has a few spots of residue from theater showing paste-over. Tax stamp at lower right. Margins show some scattered wear, but poster is free of pinholes. Fine overall.
