Item Description
2.25x3.75" personal business card of Dr. Max Nordau (1849-1923), a Zionist leader, physician, author and social critic who was a co-founder of the World Zionist Organization along w/Theodor Herzl, and president/vice president of several Zionist congresses. As a social critic, he wrote a number of controversial books, including "The Conventional Lies Of Our Civilization, Degeneration" and "Paradoxes"w/"Degeneration" the book most often remembered and cited today. Card has blue ink inscription reading "With Kind Regards For Miss Evelyn B. Tannenholz - Respectfully Paris, Oct. 10th 1902 - Dr M. Nordau." Back of card has remnants of scrapbook mounting and front has some lt. aging/dust soiling but is o/w Fine/VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
