Complete set of eight 11x14" lobby cards for the original release of the classic 1956 MGM Sci-Fi film directed by Fred M. Wilcox and starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen as well as Robby the Robot, one of the first movie robots that was more than just a mechanical tin can on legs. Title depicts Robby the Robot carrying unconscious woman, w/Nielsen at right. Each card has single staple holes at top center margin w/scattered handling wear including .75" margin tear at bottom right margin of title card and corresponding creases to other cards. Cards have two small pieces of tape measuring .25" to 1/8x7/8" long at left/right center margins of cards No. 2-7. Title card and card No. 8 have had tape removed w/lt. surface paper wear at these areas. Cards are Fine to Fine/VF overall. In addition to title card, Robby is pictured on two other cards. Card No. 8 features classic flying saucer scene.
