Item Description
Vintage 4.25x5.25" autograph album page has been signed in blue ink by Jackie Robinson (1919-1972), the first African-American to play in MLB in the modern era, breaking the baseball racial barrier when the Brooklyn Dodgers started him at first base on April 15, 1947. Robinson was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1962. Jackson has inscribed page "Best Wishes" and original owner noted Robinson's name and June 5, 1962 date along bottom margin (date just under two months shy of Robinson's HOF induction). Lower right corner of page has 7/8" corner sliver off and top margin has some faint moisture staining. Page is Fine/VF overall, but inscription/signature could be matted w/a photo of Robinson for a NM display. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
