Item Description
Original glossy 8x10" c. 1949. Classic image of Jackie in his Brooklyn Dodgers uniform, posed in batting stance on Ebbets Field. Taken by noted baseball photographer Barney Stein. Comes w/LOA from PSA/DNA verifying it as an original Barney Stein Type 1 news photo and that the image was used on Jackie's 1950 Bowman card #22 (example of the card shown but NOT included).  A credit stamp on the reverse reads "Notice - This picture is not to be used directly or indirectly with commercial advertising or indorsement [sic]. Brooklyn National League Baseball Club, Inc." From 1939 to 1970 Stein worked for the New York Post, he was also the Dodgers official photographer for over 20 years. Lt. handling wear w/some small corner tip creases but remains totally bright and glossy w/strong, sharp image. A must have for the Dodgers collectors as well as baseball card collectors looking for something different and rare for the HOF legend.
