Item Description
14.25x20" first printing poster on porous white stock for Aug. 12-13, 1966 concerts at Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA that featured the stand-out double bill of Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead. Poster is unnumbered but BG-23 in the series. Design is by Wes Wilson and includes photos of each band by Herb Greene, this the first San Francisco psychedelic poster to incorporate photos into the design. This is a first printing distinguished by the stock and inclusion of "Wes Wilson '66" credit in dark purple bkg. just below "Sat. 13 Aug." date and reverse has trace ink from being stacked. Bottom corners have some moisture staining which does not detract greatly and is only noticeable upon close inspection. Lower left has thin .5" white line. VF overall.
