Item Description
13x19" sheet of stiff paper w/attached sheet of vellum featuring mixed media original art layout design for sign advertising "Quaker Puffed Wheat 'Sparkies'" cereal premiums that were to be issued as cereal box insert. Design includes sketch of five proposed models plus the large central model in greater definition. Early 1940s and proposed around the time of the Capt. Sparks Pilot Training Cockpit premium and Quaker cereal boxes featuring Home Defense Series cut-out panels, which tied-in w/Little Orphan Annie. White paint lettering shows scattered wear w/some flakes. Vellum sheet is evenly aged w/some slight rippling. Fine overall. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
