Item Description
Lot consists of original art, mask prototype and production mask for Rocky the Flying Squirrel Halloween mask, companion piece to Bullwinkle mask, previous item #1241. Rocky was released in 1976. 8.25x8.5" sheet of vellum w/trimmed bottom margin and cut-out cardstock sheet attached to back w/staples to better display the mixed media original art for Rocky mask. "Rocky" name at top left in blue ink. Sheet has three small connected holes at top center and scattered handling wear. Thin strip of tape staining on cheek and small spot of paper remnant on eye. Fine overall. Comes w/7.5x8" high relief thin Vacuform plastic Halloween mask that has been completely hand-painted and is marked "Original" in black ink on inside, Collegeville's way of identifying it as a unique prototype. Thin strips of aged masking tape along edges and at goggles. Chin and aviator helmet strap have small dents, o/w Exc. Lot also comes w/production mask, showing a color change to helmet. Exc.
