Item Description
Large and impressive 27-5/8x39.75" frame contains two General Mills cereal boxes and 12x22" sheet of vellum w/original mixed media art used to produce the set of six different "Monster Action Ring" premium flasher rings cereal box inserts in 1972. All have been professionally double-matted and makes for wonderful display. "Count Chocula" box is flattened and shows wear along right edge. Fine/VF. "Franken Berry" is unused file copy box flat. NM. Both have inset ads on front plus full back panel for the rings. Art is comprised of a translucent vellum overlay w/black line original art for the images. This lays over top the full color tempera paint artwork on thick artboard w/complete images although w/o details that were done in black. The combination of the black line art and color art make for complete images as they would appear on rings. The first three sets of images feature Count Chocula while the second three feature Franken Berry. 2.5" hairline split in the acetate sheet at lower left which runs across Count's body. Clear tape repair on back is only visible upon close inspection. Sheet w/color art has a 3.5" hairline vertical crease at bottom center that runs across the lower image of Count juggling and again, this is only noticeable when viewed closely. Displays Exc. as professionally double-matted and framed. Truly a one of a kind item for the General Mills Monsters collector. One of the best items ever offered by us from the Gold Premium Archives.
