Item Description
Lot includes two pieces of original art created as promotional/concepts pieces. 4.25x6.75" trimmed artboard has pen and ink original art depicting child wearing Collegeville "Andy Panda" Halloween costume. Pin hole at lower right and some penciling on back, but art remains clean and Exc. 7.25x10.5" trimmed sheet of vellum has mixed media original art depicting child in Collegeville "Chilly Willy" Halloween costume. Chilly Willy name and image on chest are stat paste-overs. Sheet has moderate aging and some rippling. Art has some minor flaking to white paint on face but is o/w VF. Lot also includes two glossy 8-1/8x10" vintage publicity photos showing children wearing Andy and Miranda Panda costumes as well as a Woody Woodpecker (another Lantz character) costume. Some scattered handling wear but VF overall. Lot dates to 1958. Unique lot for the Lantz collector. From the Collegeville Archives (see other Collegeville items throughout the auction).
