Item Description
Pair of 8.5x11" sheets, each w/preliminary pencils and inked head sketches of DC Comics characters done at comic book conventions during the late 1960s. First is unlined sheet w/sketch of Solomon Grundy by Murphy Anderson (1926-2015), who signed "Best To Tom" in black marker. Sheet has also been boldly signed by Will Eisner (1917-2005). Sheet has some scattered aging/handling wear and is VF overall. Second sheet is flyer for 1967 EC fanzine "Squa Tront" and has been sketched on back. Sketch depicts Metamorpho by Sal Trapani (1927-1999), who has signed "Best Wishes To Tom" and dated "7-6-68." Sheet has some trace margin aging and some creasing at upper right, but still Fine/VF. Nice pair of early comic con sketches by artists associated w/the respective characters.
