Item Description
23x35" poster for the "United States Surfboard Championships," which took place at Huntington Beach, CA Sept. 20-21, 1969. Poster features psychedelic day-glo design by Earl Newman, whose art graced several Monterey Jazz Festival posters. Newman is also known for his theater posters and nature prints. Poster features surfer framed by metallic silver square, surfing day-glo waves. Newman's facsimile signature appears at upper right. Scattered aging/wear w/corner creases and some scattered dust soiling. Fine overall. Scarce.
