Item Description
23x35" poster for the 1970 Monterey Jazz Festival, which took place Sept. 18-20, 1970. Poster features stylized image of Duke Ellington at his piano by Earl Newman, whose art graced several Monterey Jazz Festival posters. Gold metallic ink accents grace lower portion of poster. Newman is also known for his theater posters and nature prints. Newman's facsimile signature appears along lower left margin. Some corner tip and lt. scattered dust soiling, but Fine/VF overall.
