Item Description
Vintage 7.75x9.75" matte finish photo shows Hollywood actor Wallace Beery (1885-1949), once the highest paid actor in the world and Academy Award winner for his performance in the title role of 1931's "The Champ." Photo shows Beery earlier in his career and is boldly inscribed in black ink "To May - What A Lovely Evening I Spent In Your Company. Yours, Wallie" w/Beery adding "28 Raisin Day" notation below his signature. Photo has embossed "Melbourne Spurr - Hollywood" studio mark at lower left. Pin holes at corners and some corner tip/edge wear. Lower right has 1.75" corner crease. Some faint moisture spots on Beery's face but o/w photo is Fine overall w/Exc. inscription/signature area. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
